"NanoSpace" accepted as a COST Action for the upcoming 4 years

Astrodust takes part in a European COST Action on carbon molecular nanostructures in space.

by Caroline Keufer-Platz

Astrodust takes part in a European COST Action on carbon molecular nanostructures in space (Cost action CA21126) that has been selected by the European Research Council. COST (COoperation in Science and Technology) Actions are a tool provided by the European Research Council to bring together an interdisciplinary team to study a specific topic in depth for four years. The goal of this COST Action, called "NanoSpace", is to determine the abundance, formation mechanisms and astrochemical role of carbonaceous nanoparticles in space. The Action will bring together scientists from various countries and from different fields of astronomy, in situ measurements (Astrodust group), laboratory astrophysicis, astrochemistry, etc. The Astrodust group is looking forward for this collaborative work to begin.
