New publication about the L4-mission concept

A new paper has been published with a “dust contribution” from our side, describing what science can be done with the L4 mission concept at the Sun-Earth Lagrange points L4/L5.

A paper has been published in the Journal “Space Weather”, titled “external pageA Multi-Purpose Heliophysics L4 Mission”. This paper describes the concept, and the science that can be done, with satellites in the Sun-Earth Lagrange points L4, L5 and L1 for solar (and solar wind) science. The L4 and L5 spacecraft - with an inclination out of the ecliptic plane of 14.5° - would have a favorable location and direction of motion for observations of interstellar dust. In addition, one could examine the question whether these meta-stable Lagrange points may contain extra dust particles, with a dedicated in situ dust detector.
